Role Overview:
As a Waiter/Waitress, you will be the face of our establishment, ensuring guests receive top-tier service and enjoy their time with us. Your friendly demeanour, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for delivering outstanding hospitality will contribute to our restaurant's success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and present menus.
- Assist guests in selecting dishes by providing insights and recommendations.
- Take accurate orders, making note of any special requests or dietary preferences.
- Coordinate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Serve dishes skilfully, paying attention to presentation and quality.
- Engage with guests during their meals, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any concerns.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling both cash and electronic transactions.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, organised, and inviting dining area.
- Seize opportunities to enhance the guest experience by suggesting add-ons or specials.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and issues professionally and promptly.
- Adhere to hygiene and safety standards to uphold a clean and secure environment.
Previous experience:
- Previous experience in a customer-focused role, preferably in a dining setting.
- Excellent communication skills and a natural flair for interpersonal interactions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while upholding service quality.
- Detail-oriented approach to order-taking, service, and payment processing.
- Adaptability to navigate challenges and provide swift solutions.
- Basic familiarity with food and beverage terminology, with a willingness to learn more.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays during shifts.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of a rotating schedule.
- Proficiency in using POS systems is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for creating positive guest memories through exceptional service.
