Due to our clients fleet expansion we urgently require 2 further Van Drivers to start work on Thursday 24 August 2023 or sooner.
This is a nationwide delivery role which is offered on a 12 weeks temporary to permanent contract with the guarantee of permanent employment.
The working hours are strictly days, between Monday and Friday each week with each driver guaranteed a 40 hour minimum. The runs tend to average a 10 hour day and as the runs are nationwide the number of drops are minimal.
Each Driver is paid a basic rate of £10.97 per hour. However, the beauty of this job is the availability of overtime which is also guaranteed and payable at £16.45 per hour after 40 hours and £21.94 p/h after 50 hours.
Once permanent additional benefits include an incremental pay rise, 25 days of paid holidays + additional paid bank holidays, payment rebate, full uniform and boots provided, pension and death in service scheme, annual attendance bonus and company save as you earn scheme.
All applicants must have a full driving license that is reasonably clean, along with commercial driving experience.
A reasonable level of fitness is also required, as some heavy lifting is required when unloading the vehicle.
